The European Master in Official Statistics (EMOS) is a network of Master programmes providing post-graduate education in the area of official statistics at the European level. EMOS is a joint project of universities and data producers in Europe. After two calls for applications, the EMOS network comprises 32 programmes in 19 countries and collaborating partners in statistical offices.
The EMOS Master programmes are based on learning outcomes which allow graduates to familiarize with the system of official statistics, production models, statistical methods and dissemination.
In September 2019, Eurostat awarded a contract for the “Provision of services to implement European Master in Official Statistics (EMOS) activities” to the Department of Economics and Management (DEM) of the University of Pisa.
DEM will be responsible for the organisation of the 2020 and 2021 series of EMOS Webinars and the 7th EMOS Workshop will be held virtually on June 29, 2021.
